Lois Maher is an artist based in Falmouth, Cornwall. Her long time mini-obsession with the rocks and shapes found on beautiful beaches and muddy rivers has inspired a flurry of drawings. With a focus on a sense of balance, her process is instinctual, and the results unpredictable each time. The inspiration comes from a line on a wishing stone or an oddly shaped hole in a piece of quartz, but the composition is a puzzle that comes together only through achieving an abstract sense of calm.
